Outer ring: Nickel-brass (76% copper, 20% zinc, 4% nickel). Obverse: Features the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. Reverse: Depicts the floral emblems of the four nations of the UK (the English rose, Welsh leek, Scottish thistle, and Irish shamrock) emerging from a single stem, designed by David Pearce. Security features: It includes a hologram-like latent image, micro-lettering, and a hidden security feature called iSIS (Integrated Secure Identification Systems) to prevent counterfeiting.
